Title: Some cheap Chinese kits.
Post by: Dave on November 05, 2019, 08:47:59 PM
While I was on my midterm I took the opportunity to solder up some cheap Chinese electronic kits. ;)

First on was a digital hourglass style egg timer. It worked no problem, until I decided to try it on 9v instead of 6v, and then it died.

I then made up a digital clock. Interestingly this one has no RTC chip on board, instead it uses an Atmel AT89C chip and a 12mhz crystal.

I stuck some kapton tape on the bottom of this one to stop any shorts
