XYZ printers

It looks like XYZ printing are trying to cause trouble for Creality at the minute.

Naomi Wu has put up a tweet about them filing a patent complaint against the Ender 3 with Amazon.

According to her they were very annoyed(pissed off) with her efforts to promote open soursce.

Based on a U.S patent, allegedly this one

Now this doesn't look like anything the Ender 3 could be infringing, not to me at least, and I've found and had a good look at the original patent.
I'm going to link it here.

United States Patent: 9987802

It should also be noted that there is also a fairly interesting thread about their software on GitHub in the Slic3r repo.

XYZ have released a statement which can be found here.
Twitter

They deny that they made the infringment claim and state that they are making enquiries as to who has made the claims. I suggest you read the statement for clarity on XYZs position.
